Wish lists!!

Today's post may be a bit boring because it's mainly about my wishlists :-). I haven't been able to hit the sales because I'm due to have a baby any minute, and I've been spending all my money on last minute purchases for the little one (as evidenced by previous posts over the last few months I probably should of been doing that earlier lol). So instead I have been creating wishlists on the Internet! Of course we have ASOS - luckily I am not feeling ASOS to much at the moment and I only have polka dot heels in my saved items (oh and the raybans are still in there). I don't think I will get these though as they are 13cm heels!!! I'm totally over stiletto heels and am hoping smaller ones come back soon - I do heart polka dots though.

MIMCO!! Again evidenced by my blog I love Mimco :-). I previously bought a cross body cocoon bag which has become my fav bag of all time. I love both the tiger print one and the black sequin one - and am seriously thinking about buying the tiger print one this coming pay day. And then I need to stop buying bags! Seriously eek.

Boxing day sale blues and I heart online shopping!

The Boxing day sales have been very disappointing - the week before Xmas actually proved to have better sales!  I ended up making some online purchases today (seems that lately all my purchases are online hmm), but they are baby related and you can read about them on my baby blog: http://yoyoyoyobabypop.blogspot.com/

Talking about online shopping, I went in to Diva to buy some Xmas presents and stumbled upon a perfect earring stand for only $9.95 - it comes with as many stud holes as the $24.95 one from Howard Storage World plus it has room for necklaces:
I also was guilty of picking up a pair of feather earrings that were on sale for $4 - for myself, isnt that how Xmas shopping goes, one for me - one for you :-P
Back to Online shopping - when I got on to www.diva.net.au to download the photos of my purchases, I discovered that Diva have an awesome online shopping site now - and they even have paypal checkout!!  I think I will need to stay away from this website lol.

Xmas and Chocolate Ripple Cake!

Pretty much my most favourite things about Xmas is chocolate ripple cake! Either my Hubby or his family makes this every Xmas, its the most easiest thing to make but its sooo delicious and we tend to only have at as a treat at Xmas.  Because I am to lazy to actually take a photo of our chocolate ripple cake that was prepared today, I have nabbed this one from: http://handmadelife.blogspot.com/, which is a pretty good craft blog to check out.

I am pretty excited about what I might get for Xmas, not to mention baby is due any day.  Family are coming around, Xmas ham and swimming in the pool - In the words of the awesome Hilltop Hoods (and Sia) - I love it I love it!

jewellery project unhinged

So you may have noticed that the jewellery project hasnt been updated for awhile.  The move threw everything off and I am still resorting everything out.  I have discovered however that I have way to many earrings and I need to buy another earring stand from Howards Storage World.  Speaking of which I have noticed that all the studs I have bought from Lovisa are in a terrible condition and half of them needing throwing away :-(.  I never had this problem with Diva studs so will probably return to Diva to pick up cheapie studs in future.
I think I will check out some cheapie shops before I commit to this earrings stand from HSW - I already have two, and $24.95 seems a bit steep for another one

This was a recent purchase that I forgot to blog about, sneaky purchases!  I just love jewellery, I have been staying away from the stores quite a bit in an effort not to buy any 'me' purchases, which has been quite successful.  I have still not had a chance to wear the chunky blue necklace which I love so I am hoping I get a chance soon!!

Wishlists and sweet smells

My plan to get through my perfumes do I can justify a new purchase is going very very slowly! Coming up to Xmas, magazines have been putting in tons of samples of perfumes which I have been using! But I did manage to finish Estée Lauder's Beautiful perfume, I always seem to get tons of EL samples with my free gift with purchases so would never actually fork out the $$ for one - but they are a nice perfume. I have my eye on Prada's Candy perfume, I hope I can pick up a cheap box set after Xmas. I am also thinking of putting in an ASOS order, haven't had one for ages. I think these tops are pretty cheap (plus 20% off) together the order will be only $24...hmm will I or won't I!

New York dreams

I dream of a New York holiday, it's the one place in the world where I really really want to go. 2012 was supposed to be the big holiday year, then a baby decided to it was that 2012 was its year instead ;-). Which I am soooo happy about but it changed our priorities for 2012. Instead we are going to put our big holiday money into doing major renovations on our house and do the big trip 2013. So I am thinking as a consolation prize I might get this Tiffany and Co keyring. It's actually very practical as well as I need a key chain for my keys desperately. I think every girly girl needs some Tiffany bling and some New York dreams ( I can feel a Sex in the City marathon coming on).

Blogger angst - The NBN better be worth it!

So 6 weeks ago we moved into our house. I immediately got excited as our suburb is one of only two that can get the NBN! Optus are the service provider I picked and we got an awesome deal. At the time there was no mention of any delays, a couple of days later i got a call that someone was coming out to physically install something then the following week we could go live. Six weeks later I'm expecting someone in two days - I have to be home between 8am and 5pm! Totally ridiculous, especially as on the front of the weekend paper the NBN providers were complaining about the lack of take up.

So for six weeks I've been hotspottjng my iPhone which has been painful as it drops out every 5 mins :-(. It means I haven't been able to update my IPad to the latest version so I can't access Cloud resources and I dont have the edit photos function either - both making blogging very hard to do. Ive gone from blogging daily to once a week if lucky :-(.

Bargain purchases I've made recently : enviro shopping bag for $4.95 - it rolls up so I can squash it into my smallest handbag, I have mimco ones that ive used for years but this one is small enough to use in tiny handbags. Sparrow necklace from lovisa $4.95. And Nak dry shampoo, this is actually my favorite one but I always buy Klorane as it's cheaper - That's Life magazine which I don't buy had a free Nak giveaway, the shampoo is worth $22 and the magazine cost $3. I literally bought the magazine ripped the coupon out walked around the corner to the participating store and picked one up! Now that's a bargain ;-).

Asos wishlist and library restrictions!

I don't know what's going down in ASOS town but it saved me $140 this week! All the things in my saved bag went up a huge jump in price! I was lemming these rayban sunnies that were $144 plus a discount code I had would of made them $130. They are now $188! I noted after the big jumps in price that ASOS began a heap of discount codes and sales. Classic raise the price before sales and people think they are getting bargains but they are the same price. Poo to you ASOS, I will wait for your real bargains :-). We just moved states and my new library has half the borrowing and reserving allowance then my old one. For many people this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm boarding on a major meltdown - I borrow so many books and magazines! I am thinking of cajoling my Hubby into getting a library card so I can use it. I heart reading ;-)

The peak of consumerism and pretty nails

At the moment I have no excuse, my consumerism is rampaging and I am blowing my budget left right and centre. The only shining light is I don't have a credit card so I am not racking up debt. I'm also still being budget conscious in parking in free carparks and not buying work coffees and lunches. But still... Eek! Latest impulse buys are all from Sportsgirl- bags (total $29), I always justify these bags because I use the ALL the time. Heart earrings, I have a thing for heart earrings at the moment and these were $4.95 each. Nailpolish was $7.95, I think I know have about 5 bottles of slightly different shades of the same pink!

Last major purchases before my biggest new item arrives!

I have been lusting over mimco for ages, it's my fav brand and I have never been dissapointed in the quality. I have mimco bags that are eight years old, heavily worn and still in awesome condition. I dont have any 'obvious' mimco bags - like the button bags, and I really wanted another cross body bag and a clutch as I have no mimco clutch's. These were in my wishlist only, but after getting an email for a mimco flashsale 30% off and then free earrings and then only $9.95 delivery I was suckered in! So hopefully they are on their way, I have to confess that I have been disappointed with Mimco's lack of communication. Two working days after purchase I am still waiting for my tracking notification! This is the last major 'me' purchase before baby, next purchases will be a rocker and various baby things. Eek!

Flat out and accessorizing the IPad

Because I heart flats, I bought another cute pair! They are sooo comfy and I really love the ankle bootie/sandal look. They are also very summery but not a budget buy :-( $49.95.

Also had to bling my IPad of course, got the green Apple cover that hibernates the iPad and also can be folded over and up to use as a stand - oh and if course provides extra protection for the scheme, jb hi fi guy was generous with his discount so it was $39.95. Then I stumbled upun the cutesy iPad cover that is like a folder/book cover and has a stand as well. Sportsgirl $24.95.

Sales spam and B is for Benefit

Flash sales are popping up everywhere! It may be time to unsubscribe from mailing lists as I have been bombarded by sales emails this week - ASOS 20% off, Dotti 20%, Ally 30% and Mimco 30% and a great deal through Adore Beauty for Benefit. I have needed a new Highbeam for ages so when I got an email from adore beauty saying order from benefit and it's free shipping plus free gift with purchase how could I refuse ;-). So for $45 I got highbeam, throbb blush and life on the a list. Adore beauty also chucked in a little choccie - how nice!

Flataholic and the best husband in the world

Since giving up my heels due to pregnancy related ailments, I have gone a bit overboard with buying flat shoes! Now that I have relocated back to a sunny destination it's easy to justify more open sandals!

I also got an IPad!!!!! Yay for hubby who bought it for me :-). It's been promised since July, so I am sooo excited. Though I was massively shocked to discover that blogger in safari won't let you upload photos and isn't a good platform in general. How bizarre considering it's the perfect blogging tool! I had to upload blogger app which is only an iPhone one... Very odd indeed!

Products finished Today Project and bit of ecletic

I am in a bit of a leopard/animal print phase.  I am trying hard not to indulge to much though, as my mum also loves animal prints, so I have to be careful not to become my mum ;-). I picked up the below flats from
Target, who have heaps of new shoes in stock:
I paid $20 for these, which I wasnt happy about (see previous post about shoes bought at Target), especially when I went to Kmart this week and saw the exact pair for $12!!

I picked up these cute hair clips from Lovisa, I really wanted to purchase half the store but keeping in mind that I am supposed to be wearing all my jewellery at least once before making a new purchase, and that pretty soon they will be having massive sale, ,I only got the hair clips :-).   The toucan ones are so cute and I have worn these nearly every day since I bought them.

Products I have finished Today Project: I bought the Revitalift for my neck, they always say that you can look after your face but if you dont look after your neck and hand then you will always show your age anyway!  I will not be repurchasing this product though.  I am not a fan of the dip your fingers into tubs products and this actually dried out pretty quickly as well.
Estee Lauder Pleasures perfume.  Through free gift with purchases I have quite a few Estee Lauder sample perfumes.  This was very pleasant, not enough for me buy but it is definetly a nice unoffensive perfume.

samples and I just want an Iphone 4 cover

After paying out for a Zazzle 'Starry Nights' Iphone 4 cover that cost $50, only to have it arrive and it be terrible (all the colours blended in to each other) and then three weeks later drop the phone and have the cover split into three pieces...well I was hesitant to commit to another cover in a hurry.  I really need a new one though, as I already have a huge shatter on the back from where I dropped it previously.  Then the other day I stopped for a browse at one of the kiosks in the middle of a shopping centre and found two I loved:

These are Kate Spade covers, I got the black background one for $30.  Its plastic and it wraps all the way around which is awesome.  I love love love this cover!
I picked this Cath Kidston cover up at the same time as I was quite excited that I found two covers I liked, this was $25.  But its a hard cover and it doesnt wrap all the way around like the Kate Spade one.

I have finally got through two more samples that I got in my Avon haul a month ago:
The blurb for this day cream is: This ultra-rich cream replenishing cream for normal-to-dry skin also features glycolic acid and pro-retinol complex to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Includes UVA/UVB sunscreen and antioxidant protection.  I found both the samples to have obvious exfiolants in them as they had that kind of feel to them.  I loved both of these samples, and Avon remains close to my heart in terms of skincare.
This is a night cream and it performs similar actions to the day cream sample.  It is always hard to get a good idea from skincare sample how it will perform in the long run, but these were great products and I would recommend them.

Jewellery project fail, goodies and products finished today

I had a jewellery project fail!  There are so many cute cute things in at Lovisa and Colette at the moment, I had to indulge - though I did make sure that I did not already have pieces similar to this already:
Here is my haul - a cute bug ring (have been looking for a cute bug ring for ages!) from Colette.

Colette - turquoise gold drop earrings, coral drop earrings.

Lovista - heart diamonte clips.  This haul was about $30

I have actually moved interstate to a place that doesnt have a Colette - though I am pretty confident that they will get one soon, considering how quick she is expanding her shops.  Colette does have online shopping, but its a limited range.

I finally got my Clarins Flash Balm!!  I had needed on for about a year, and I had tried various products in an effort to replace this with a budget version.  There is no budget version, Flash Balm cannot be replaced :-).  David Jones was having a Clarins bonus sale, so I finally bit the bullet and picked up the Flash Balm and the Lotus Oil which is another HG for me and got my bonus pack full of so many goodies, including a mini flash balm :-).

Products Finished Today Project - Revlon Age Defying Makeup Foundation.  This was a foundation that I used quite often, but that was when I lived in a hotter climate so had a slightly darker complexion.  After moving to a winter climate, this was way to dark for me so has stayed on the shelf for awhile.  To use the rest of this up, I mixed a light illuminator into it which worked perfectly.  I did like this foundation, but I would probably not return to it as there are so many new foundations on the market to try.

New shoes and Jewellery project

Target have a new range of shoes, but they have also upped their prices!!  For me Target full price flats should be about the $16 range and you can usually guarantee that there will be some kind of sale where you can probably pick them up for $10.  I rushed in to Target the other day looking for a pair of pink ballet slippers after I hurt my back and had to give up heels, and I found the perfect pair except they were $20.  Of course this can still be considered a bargain, but not for Target (sad face).  I bought them despite still being annoyed for paying that much at Target, they are so cute and already I have got heaps of wear out of them!
Pink with gold studs and black bow tie.  These seem like good quality, Target actually have quite a few nice flats in at the moment.

New Weekly Star Style magazine.  I dont actually buy NW,  it hasnt been my kind of magazine for a few years, however when I spotted this in the supermarket I decided to buy it.  It was $5.00 and basically is bit like Shop Til Ya Drop but without any real articles in it.  It does feature heaps of bargain and budget buys and an ASOS 15% off code!

Jewellery Project continues!  I love turquoise and have a quite a few pieces in this colour.  these are two turquoise bracelets - one from Lovisa and the other one was a gift.  Necklace from ASOS, this was a bargain - only about $5 (I posted about this previously when I purchased).

Typo goes online and jewelery project and Iphone upgrade

I heart Typo!  It has cheap quirky stuff that is good for around the house or for the office.  I actually have not bought anything for the house from Typo, but I have plenty of stuff at the office - its a good one to personalise your space and cheer up your day! http://shop.cottonon.com/typo/.
This is an example of the cool stuff you can get from Typo - this is a pencil case, but I use it as a makeup bag!

Jewelery Project

These hoops are from Lovisa, I invested in am expensive classic pair of gold hoops years ago, but never got good silver hoops because they always bring out cheap cool silver hoops that are different.  I love big hoops!

Pink bracelet, this is actually a proper crystal bracelet, but because I have no interest in those kind of things I did not pay attention to what kind of crystal it was!  It was a gift :-

So I upgraded my Iphone software for my Iphone 4, the upgrade took an agonising three hours - then it crashed my Iphone and wouldnt finish the installation and just stayed on the apple icon :-(.  Luckily I remembered a recent news story involving virus protectors and the new software, so I turned my virus software off and it reinstalled no probs.  Arrgh to technology!  So far I havent worked out all the extras, but the new way the messages are presented is pretty cool.  I love my Iphone, I dont know what I did before it...

10 pan project panned and Jewellery Project!

I cant wait until I am moved into my new house, where I can actually set up a place to take decent photos of things instead of dodge dark ones!  We actually have a really nice camera (not a flash flash one, but a nice one). Today's jewellery is:

These hoops I got from Sportsgirl probably 4/5 years ago. I love them, they are the only hoops I have with dangly attachments and I have got my moneys worth out of them!

Diva flower ring, another plastic cheap one but it does the job!

I have decided to pan the 10 pan project!  I have revamped it and to 'Products finished today' project. I just realised that I had heaps of products that I wanted to purposefully use and I didnt want to limit myself to tracking 'ten pans' or which kind - the samples, the makeup, the skincare etc.  So todays 'Products I finished today' is:

Avon moisturiser PM and AM samples. These were good little moisturisers, but nothing that made me want to buy them. It is kind of hard with moisturiser samples to get a good impression about the product.

Bikinis and oops pretty shoes

I was way to excited about the prospect of Summer and promptly went out an bought two bikinis!  Technically they are four bikinis, because they are reversible.  And considering how much my hubby spent on my Tigerlilly bikinis - these are a bargain!  Cotton On have a fantastic range at the moment, actually most of the cheapo stores like Valleygirl and Dotti have some great cheap bikinis.  These are the ones that I picked up, I had to get a size up because I have a major baby bump - and the tops are a bit of a squeeze but they will do for my backyard pool :-):

I must of been on a shopping high, because after I purchased these I walked around the corner to Novo shoes and impulse bought two shoes (but they were 50% off the second pair).  I have not impulse bought anything for a long long time, so nearly had a heart attack when I actually realised that I had spent $95 on shoes that were not a prearranged/thought out purchase!!
Luckily I had no buyers remorse, these heels are perfect!  I have been looking for a pair of bootie style heels for over a year, I wanted them in black but they only had the light pink.  Now I am glad they didnt have them in black because I have so many pairs of black heels and these pink ones are so lovely.  The light coloured heel make my legs look longer as well :-).  Also they are super comfy for heels!

These glitter black flats are awesome for work/casual/going out.  I couldnt get a nice pic off the Novo website so had to take this dodgy pic!  w ith the discount these were $25.  I have spotted these shoes in silver and black at Target for $30.  Target are really annoying me at the moment with there massive shoe prices hike!  They are now nearly on par with normal retail shoe stores with their pricing.  So annoying because I am loving their new range as well, but I just refuse to pay those kind of prices.  Hopefully they will still have their random awesome bargain sales where you can get Target shoes on the cheap.
