All neon like

My new favourite scarf: Cotton On yellow neon scarf (actually a snood or 'circular scarf' that I got for $10 with purchase!  It was the only one I ever seen so I am so happy I got it, brightens up a Winter day :-). Was tempted to wear my polka dot shoes with my polka dot cardigan and polka dot jeans, but felt that might of been 'too far' lol.

Loose change

My wallet had a coin compartment that has a hole in it, it also does not have capacity for a lot of coins. Last year I got a beautiful Mimco coin purse on sale, but it has been missing for ages and I have looked everywhere. I rarely lose anything so I am annoyed. But now I'm happy again because I got a perfect sized coin purse from Cotton On that was on sale for $2! Sometimes it's the really little things in life that cheer you up. Today I pulled out an old leopard print beaded dress from Valleygirl - it was actually nearly a victim of a cull. Because I was anticipating a dreary day I picked bright red tights to go with it :-).

Purple shoes

I have two pairs of purple shoes, one pair was from Rubi shoes and they are 13cms high - 13!!  I didn't measure them when I bought them, and I actually cannot spend more than two hours in them, they are insane!  The other pair I bought about 5 years ago from Dotti and they are gorgeous, my favourite shoes.  But like all my other shoes, the Dotti ones are dying - its only a matter of time for my favourite shoes :-(.  I bought these ones from Rubi shoes on sale for $15.  They are not as awesome as my Dotti ones, but they will do for now and are quite practical for work as well.  Today I stayed at home for the day and was determined not to get out of my pyjamas - mission accomplished!

Zara,the new ASOS?

My ASOS ban is going really well -except I am now spending my money at Zara instead! I love my candy coloured Zara blazers I bought from Ebay for $15 but I still needed a good work black blazer. I actually wasn't considering a Zara black blazer until I tried it on and it was so soft and warm! $90. Today I wore my asos green work pants that are just a little bit to 'hammer' pants for my liking! But they were only $18! I also need to get some knee hi stockings as its starting to chills down proper Winter style! 

Boring shopping

Best and less had 40% off Bonds, so I picked up some underwear and socks. So. Boring. ! But essential lol. I'm enjoying the warm weather on my holiday and wore my Bob Marley singlet and red dotti skirt. Wish I could stay in the sun forever!

Bower bird seeking larger nest

In holidays I stumbled upon a DFO Lovisa. The entire store was three for $10. So excited I picked up an awesome watch, cute bracelet and cool necklace! Also got to wear my Dotti play suit for the second time as it warm enough - love this play suit. 

Lust have it May beauty box

I forgot to cancel my subscription to the Lust Have it beauty boxes! So I got May's box. It is a good box, even though I just really don't need more beauty clutter so will cancel the subscription. I feel the products are a bit more useful and very good size as well! Today I got kick out my Zara skorts yay!

What time is it?

Time to get a new watch! Totally watch obsessed at the moment! Keep spending my money so have not saved for the Marc Jacobs one I have been dying for. Argh! Mimco sent me a survey to complete with the enticement of a $30 mimcollective award - done! Couldn't see anything I loved though, until a workmate showed me the Watch she was buying from the mimco sale - I hadn't even looked for watches after the disappointment of my last one. But this one looks a lot better quality so I know what I am getting - yay only $70 after my discount. Today I finally got to wear my new neon yellow ASOS heels and sportsgirl scarf a good casual Friday outfit. 

The biggest bower bird nest

I can't believe I haven't run out of room yet in my jewelry storage, it's not like I ever cull. Was lured in by the bright and sparkly once again with 50% off at Colette and lovisa having an up to 70% off sale. I was relatively conservative and got a necklace, two sets of earrings and a ring for $20 all together. Today was so crazy hectic I forgot to do an outfit snap, whoops! 

Um. What?

My daily weather app recommended a sheer blouse and thin Pants and open sandals as an outfit today. Please note the temperature! I am thinking of writing to the app developers and asking them what the heck is going on?? Not taking their advice, I layered up with a long sleeve top under my new Zara owl blouse and Zara hot pink blazer (thank you eBay for super cheap Zara!), and my Ally coat I forgot I bought late last year in the sales and had stored away in a space bag! My only concession to the app's recommendation if light clothing were my lace bow stockings - Sportsgirl have the best stockings/tights.

Stalking a sale

Desperate for two jumpers at Dotti I put them on layby. Knowing Dotti is notorious for everything going on sale - I hedged my bets that either they would go on sale and I would return the layby or they sold out and I would just pay full price for them via the layby. After stalking my local Dotti and online I happened to go to my local DFO and found them on sale there ! Totes vindicated, $25 each verses the $110 full price! So cute Winter knits. Today I didn't have to pull a Winter coat or even a scarf - loving this weather! I  wore my $16 zara blazer eBay bargain and layered up with a pastel necklace over the top.

 

How to dress for the weather

I have two apps that give me daily outfit suggestions based on the weather. Style up is a great app, and their suggestions are always pretty good. But the other one called Daily Weather was okay, but recently it has lost the plot! This is what it suggest for 11degrees but feels like 8 - a light dress with short sleeves and no tights with sandals - Wtf? Today I spent the day working from home with my daughter, my aim was not to get out of my new Peter Alexander pyjamas and I achieved that!

Polka Dot Heaven

I am a little bit polka dot obsessed with my wardrobe at the moment.  I have always been, but it seems like a little bit more than usual at the moment!  Awhile ago on my very last ASOS splurge I bought a polka dot jumper that was quite expensive still for a jumper even with 20% off so really was a splurge for me.  It turned out to be a good purchase as it is in cream - whereas most of my polkadot stuff is dark coloured, and the polka dots are actually little puff textures that is really cute. And it got featured in this months latest Cosmopolitan as well! Am also loving the Zara jeggings in this outfit and will

definitely be stocking up on more (when budget allows!).   I am trying really hard to save for my July overseas trip but did pick up this sweater from Valleygirl for $9.95 - its a perfect work sweater!

who what wear

Have been forgetting to put my outfits up lol!  This week was the first proper Winter chill weekend - so out come all my coats that I started hoarding at the start of the year!

The happy skorts dance

After getting the wrong size originally and then not finding any in my size in store, I ended up buying both Zara skort colours on EBay. It was only $30 more than buying them in store, and since white isn't even in stock here it was well worth it! I love love them and so sad I didn't bite the bullet to buy them earlier. I also picked up this owl jumper from Big W for $19, and it is actually quite good quality. 

Second time lucky???

After the devastation of finding my dream dress on sale for $49, ordering it and having them tell me they made a mistake and didnt have my size - I have been stalking it on the only website I have been able to find it in my size.  www.opencloset.com.au.  Finally it went on sale from $120 to $89 with free shipping so I snapped it up, lucky as well as it was the last one in my size!!  I love all the Three for Something clothing but it so darn expensive. Today it was a top of 14 degrees so I finally got to pull out a Winter coat - this is an ASOS one that was $35.  It was a lot more 'eighties' then I realised from the photos, I love it - but maybe at the end of Winter I will try and pick up some classic coats so I am not so loud with my colours all the time lol.

Any excuse for New pajamas!

This was my second Mother's Day, for my first one I got an IMac (which I still don't know how to use!). So the bar had been set high, I had already got a pair of Bose sports earphones of hubby and had no idea he was going to get me anything else. So I was happily surprised when on Mother's Day little G came out with a Peter Alexander bag! And they had got me the cutest pair of pajamas, so lucky :-). 

Jeans not jeggings, yes Jeans!

I know who can believe that I bought a pair of jeans not jeggings! But all my plain blue jeans are fairly old - but in great condition except none are skinny fit! Dotti were having a 30% off sale I decided to try a pair on, amazing fit an colour and was only about $42 yay!! Today I pulled out one of my Zara eBay jackets - royal blue and my horsey print dress I bought for $5 from Cotton On. 

Galapagos

I was a slightly weird teenager, my favorite books was Charles Darwin 'Origin of Species' and Kurt Vonnegut 'Galapagos'. Recently I stumbled upon an article about a family holiday inGalapagos  Islands. I so want to do this! But will have to wait until my child is a bit older, but it is a definite on my bucket list. Today for Mothers Day my awesome hubby got me Peter Alexander pajamas! So excited, I really needed a new pair :-). 

Another 'don't jegging judge me' post

I found the cutest pair of jeggings at Zara, they are pale pink with paisley print. They were $45 but I thought about it for awhile and saved up my pennies! I could buy everything in Zara if I won the lotto..sigh. The autumn weather is just awesome and we are only three weeks off Winter yet it was 23 degrees today whoop whoop. Pulled out my boyfriend jeans, polkadots dot shirt under grey heart patch sweater.
