shopping diary

So I have realised that my Everyday Girl blog has basically become my Shopping Diary blog!  I am just loving the bargains and the fashion in stores at the moment.  I have always steered away from Shoe Boots, I just never felt the booties vibe.  But recently I decided to try a pair on at Betts, which I loved - but they squashed my feet!  So then I went to Novo and found a pair I loved but they didn't have the size in the black, so they suggested getting on to their website to see if there was a pair online in my size.  So in store they were $79.95 - way out of my budget, I was unsure if I was going to buy them but decided to check the website anyway - they were on sale for $25! Yay, I did have to pay $10 for shipping but $35 is still a bargain :-).

Transit delays

We are in between places at the moment. I actually don't mind being in transit, but I am looking forward to setting up a home again. And it just confirms that I really need to buy a new laptop because blogging on the ipad is painful and the ipad has a lot of limitations in itself (cannot see the ASOS catwalk for starters!). I have had so much to blog about and no time to do it on the ipad - its to slow and painful. Luckily my phone cover I ordered from Ebay turned up before we moved out, postage from Asia is taking so long lately! I don't love the phone cover but it was $6.99 so it will do while I wait out the couple of months I have left on my iphone 4 contract so I can get the iphone 5 :-D.

Waiting by the post box

Because we are just about to move I have stopped online shopping. Considering we move in a week I am cutting it pretty fine! My ASOS jackets turned up (as blogged a few posts ago). It's actually harder to decide in person which one I like better and I wish I never saw that second one eeek. Luckily it only cost $39 and together they cost as much as one jacket if I bought at Dotti/portmans/sportsgirl. I the bought a Mimco bag off eBay that I had wanted for ages, because I hate huge nappy bags I stick all baby stuff in my normal bag. This Mimco cocoon bag isn't the best colour I would of loved, but being a darker colour it will wear better as all my lighter Mimco bags just show so much wear and year compared to the darker ones. Plus it was $112 including postage which is $200 cheaper than original price. Last online purchase was this Lucy in The Sky dress that I had on my wishlist for ages, I finally had an event to justify buying it - $52.

I have got the shopping bug which is no good when trying to conserve money sigh! Amazingly enough the usually trash city chain store Ice Clothing has some really nice and cheap dresses in at the moment. I remember the days when I wouldn't even walk in that store with my sister I would just wait outside lol. Still a lot of trash but now a bit of treasure as well. I was a good girl and didn't buy anything though
:-).

Chainstore Chic

Soooo, I am supposed to be on a proper spending ban.  Already evidenced many times on this blog, my spending bans always fail!  In my defence, I do make major savings in most areas of my life - then spend the savings on clothes :-S.  I just cant help it, I love fashion :-D.  Luckily I am happy with chainstore chic, I dont know what would of happened if I was a designer clothing only lady - I would of had to sell a kidney or something.  Today's chainstore hauls include leather pants that I have always wanted, they are from Sportsgirl so of course they are not real leather, a peplum top - I have been hesitant to join this trend but for $14.95 I thought I would experiment with it and lastly a gold chunky watch from Lovisa for $29.95, I have wanted a gold chunky watch for ages but I didnt have a few hundred dollars to spare so I figure I will wear this one to death and if I love it I might ask for a proper one for Xmas!  Talking about chainstore chic...on the weekend I went to an event where I saw every fashion crime imaginable and now I know who buys those gross leggings that you see in supre!!
the leather look pants from Sportsgirl - $89.95

One of the great uses I have found for Pinterest is when I am looking for style inspiration I can create a board and pin all the pics of the style which is what I did for leather pants - I found some awesome style ideas on Pinterest!
was only $29.95 from Lovisa so I am guessing in a few months it probably will start to tarnish, but by then I might of been able to convince my Hubby to buy my the real deal for Xmas!
This is the peplum top I bought to try out to see if I like the trend. VOMIT to the floral pants!!

I want to pin everything!!

I am officially in love with Pinterest.  I sat down and dedicated solid time to trying to understand how to use it, and I conquered it!  And now I love it!  I have it on all my Apples :-D.

Soooo after my last post obsessing about denim jackets, I saw these photos of Gwen Stefani and now I want a denim vest!!!  Asos dont have one for me to conveniently buy, poo.
