Last bag stop before I get off!

So this is it, the last bag purchase before I get off the bus!  Bought off Ebay for $160 (still with mimco duffle bag and claimed only used twice).  I thought I preferred the russian red colour (this is Pomegrante) but I think the bright red would of got on my nerves after awhile.

One down in the 10 pan project :-)

I have had this sucker for about 5 years!! It is quite ironic that since I clearly didnt like this product that now I have finally got rid of it I may have to buy some more soon for the baby bump.  I think I might try the oil though next time.

preventing buyers remorse

So after checking my lipstick draw I found at least three pink lipsticks never been used that look exactly like the one I nearly bought last week and had put on the wish list for this week!  Three!  On the plus side they had been all freebie lipsticks with the free gift with purchase from Estee Lauder and Miranesse.

This made me remember something called the project 10 pan, if you google this you will get a million beauty blogs of people participating in the project 10 pan and heaps of Youtube videos as well.  Basically it is where you use up ten makeup products before you are allowed to buy a new one.  I think its time to commence this project!  I am going to include perfume as well, I seem to have about ten drawers of makeup/body products that are all half used so I am going to work out getting rid of ten of them before buying anything new :-).

Nearly Spring means nearly Summer!

Am loving the Spring/Summer fashion coming out at the moment, this pay I am a little bit poor (again!), so far on the list is:
  • getting my eyebrows waxed at the Benefit brow bar (so overdue that I nearly have a monobrow!) $25
  • Doctors and Dentist - $100
  • baby shower present and dinner: $40
  • Accomodation, petrol and dinner for Mary Poppins :-) $150
  • Maybelline lipstick in color sensational high shine in pink freeze, though I might check my lipstick draw first to double check I dont have a similar colour already as I really dont need another lipstick...

My Barbie :-)

The girl barbie Stefani, I didnt have the tech skills to cut her hubby out of this pic.  Not entirely loving the shoes but the rest of this outfit I will be stealing!

Something I wish I knew earlier in my career, much much earlier!

If you think working hard and producing great results for your company will get you a promotion, think again. According to a new study by market research firm Penn Schoen Berland, 92 percent of senior executives say they've seen people get promotions through favoritism and 84 percent of them have observed it at their own companies.

everyday i'm shuffling - LFMAO the great philosophers of our time!

So I have about a billion things I want to blog about but have not blogged about anything because:
  • my internet connection has been going as slow as dial up for some unknown reason :-(
  • I have been busy (not really busy enough to use as an excuse though)
  • If I had an Ipad I would blog alot more!  (My husband doesnt read my blog but its worth a shot anyway)
  • I cant work out why my cut and paste pics are not working and showing the empty box and x of death!
This weekend I plan to set aside some time to work out how to be a better blogger :-).  I even got a book from the library (the library has everything, seriously).

I need an enforced shopping ban - Window shopping only!

Hmm, am thinking it may be time to stop going to the shops on my lunchbreaks!  My budget is not working and I think starting this week I am going to ban myself from the shops even though its nice to walk around in the warmth :-).  Tomorrow is my last shopping day (Ally has 30% off).  Maybe.  Here are adhoc purchases out of this pay:
SES dress $24.95 - work dress for later pregnancy:

Practicality over Lemmings

So I had managed my budget to buy my coveted mimco bag (at 20% off!) : LF694760_1
But due to my jeans being unable to be buttoned up I had to give in to finally being practical!  Two for $109 is  a pretty awesome buy and they look and fit great: http://www.jeanswest.com.au/Specialty-Denim/Maternity-Denim.html

A Boy George kind of day

Karma Chameleon style!  Today I was desperately seeking a car park, found one right at the front of my work (score one), then when I was walking with my $8.00 for car parking an amazing person said that they were leaving for the day (even though it was all day parking and only 10am in the morning), and gave me her $8.00 ticket!  :-) Must of been all my good Karma coming back to reward me!  I then spent the $8.00 on RSPCA cupcakes (it was cupcake day) and a sausage roll for lunch lol.

The payday list

Things I need to pay for this payday:
  • Laserhair - $127
  • Magazine subcriptions - $380
  • tupperwear - $60
This pretty much leaves me with no money, boo hoo!

Wish list for this pay:

Tuesday 9 August 2011

Colour Blind

Impulse purchase made today, reduced from $29.95 to $19.95 (confession – only found out the price was reduced when paying for it!).  I thought it was Coral coloured and only just now pulled it out of the bag and realised it was red!  Whoops!

I do need more relaxed tops, this matches my OneTeaspoon grey and black one that hides my baby bump at the moment, and will soon accommodate the expansion of it!  I have laid off buying magazines the last two weeks so I use that to excuse this purchase…… :-S.

No Money No Spend (sung in the tune of No Woman No Cry)

Today's Purchases include:

  • $9.95 pale pink polka dot headband from Temt, to cuteee
  • $115 ticket to Mary Poppins the musical in September
  • $20 on breakfast - I passed on a lunch and a dinner this week so this is the eat our $$

Upcoming compulsory bills:
  • magazine subscriptions - $280 for three years of who and $100 for 1year for cleo and cosmo together, $100 for glamour and allure together
  • laser hair probably only $300 worth left to go!
