Asos wishlist and library restrictions!

I don't know what's going down in ASOS town but it saved me $140 this week! All the things in my saved bag went up a huge jump in price! I was lemming these rayban sunnies that were $144 plus a discount code I had would of made them $130. They are now $188! I noted after the big jumps in price that ASOS began a heap of discount codes and sales. Classic raise the price before sales and people think they are getting bargains but they are the same price. Poo to you ASOS, I will wait for your real bargains :-). We just moved states and my new library has half the borrowing and reserving allowance then my old one. For many people this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm boarding on a major meltdown - I borrow so many books and magazines! I am thinking of cajoling my Hubby into getting a library card so I can use it. I heart reading ;-)

The peak of consumerism and pretty nails

At the moment I have no excuse, my consumerism is rampaging and I am blowing my budget left right and centre. The only shining light is I don't have a credit card so I am not racking up debt. I'm also still being budget conscious in parking in free carparks and not buying work coffees and lunches. But still... Eek! Latest impulse buys are all from Sportsgirl- bags (total $29), I always justify these bags because I use the ALL the time. Heart earrings, I have a thing for heart earrings at the moment and these were $4.95 each. Nailpolish was $7.95, I think I know have about 5 bottles of slightly different shades of the same pink!

Last major purchases before my biggest new item arrives!

I have been lusting over mimco for ages, it's my fav brand and I have never been dissapointed in the quality. I have mimco bags that are eight years old, heavily worn and still in awesome condition. I dont have any 'obvious' mimco bags - like the button bags, and I really wanted another cross body bag and a clutch as I have no mimco clutch's. These were in my wishlist only, but after getting an email for a mimco flashsale 30% off and then free earrings and then only $9.95 delivery I was suckered in! So hopefully they are on their way, I have to confess that I have been disappointed with Mimco's lack of communication. Two working days after purchase I am still waiting for my tracking notification! This is the last major 'me' purchase before baby, next purchases will be a rocker and various baby things. Eek!

Flat out and accessorizing the IPad

Because I heart flats, I bought another cute pair! They are sooo comfy and I really love the ankle bootie/sandal look. They are also very summery but not a budget buy :-( $49.95.

Also had to bling my IPad of course, got the green Apple cover that hibernates the iPad and also can be folded over and up to use as a stand - oh and if course provides extra protection for the scheme, jb hi fi guy was generous with his discount so it was $39.95. Then I stumbled upun the cutesy iPad cover that is like a folder/book cover and has a stand as well. Sportsgirl $24.95.

Sales spam and B is for Benefit

Flash sales are popping up everywhere! It may be time to unsubscribe from mailing lists as I have been bombarded by sales emails this week - ASOS 20% off, Dotti 20%, Ally 30% and Mimco 30% and a great deal through Adore Beauty for Benefit. I have needed a new Highbeam for ages so when I got an email from adore beauty saying order from benefit and it's free shipping plus free gift with purchase how could I refuse ;-). So for $45 I got highbeam, throbb blush and life on the a list. Adore beauty also chucked in a little choccie - how nice!

Flataholic and the best husband in the world

Since giving up my heels due to pregnancy related ailments, I have gone a bit overboard with buying flat shoes! Now that I have relocated back to a sunny destination it's easy to justify more open sandals!

I also got an IPad!!!!! Yay for hubby who bought it for me :-). It's been promised since July, so I am sooo excited. Though I was massively shocked to discover that blogger in safari won't let you upload photos and isn't a good platform in general. How bizarre considering it's the perfect blogging tool! I had to upload blogger app which is only an iPhone one... Very odd indeed!

Products finished Today Project and bit of ecletic

I am in a bit of a leopard/animal print phase.  I am trying hard not to indulge to much though, as my mum also loves animal prints, so I have to be careful not to become my mum ;-). I picked up the below flats from
Target, who have heaps of new shoes in stock:
I paid $20 for these, which I wasnt happy about (see previous post about shoes bought at Target), especially when I went to Kmart this week and saw the exact pair for $12!!

I picked up these cute hair clips from Lovisa, I really wanted to purchase half the store but keeping in mind that I am supposed to be wearing all my jewellery at least once before making a new purchase, and that pretty soon they will be having massive sale, ,I only got the hair clips :-).   The toucan ones are so cute and I have worn these nearly every day since I bought them.

Products I have finished Today Project: I bought the Revitalift for my neck, they always say that you can look after your face but if you dont look after your neck and hand then you will always show your age anyway!  I will not be repurchasing this product though.  I am not a fan of the dip your fingers into tubs products and this actually dried out pretty quickly as well.
Estee Lauder Pleasures perfume.  Through free gift with purchases I have quite a few Estee Lauder sample perfumes.  This was very pleasant, not enough for me buy but it is definetly a nice unoffensive perfume.

samples and I just want an Iphone 4 cover

After paying out for a Zazzle 'Starry Nights' Iphone 4 cover that cost $50, only to have it arrive and it be terrible (all the colours blended in to each other) and then three weeks later drop the phone and have the cover split into three pieces...well I was hesitant to commit to another cover in a hurry.  I really need a new one though, as I already have a huge shatter on the back from where I dropped it previously.  Then the other day I stopped for a browse at one of the kiosks in the middle of a shopping centre and found two I loved:

These are Kate Spade covers, I got the black background one for $30.  Its plastic and it wraps all the way around which is awesome.  I love love love this cover!
I picked this Cath Kidston cover up at the same time as I was quite excited that I found two covers I liked, this was $25.  But its a hard cover and it doesnt wrap all the way around like the Kate Spade one.

I have finally got through two more samples that I got in my Avon haul a month ago:
The blurb for this day cream is: This ultra-rich cream replenishing cream for normal-to-dry skin also features glycolic acid and pro-retinol complex to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Includes UVA/UVB sunscreen and antioxidant protection.  I found both the samples to have obvious exfiolants in them as they had that kind of feel to them.  I loved both of these samples, and Avon remains close to my heart in terms of skincare.
This is a night cream and it performs similar actions to the day cream sample.  It is always hard to get a good idea from skincare sample how it will perform in the long run, but these were great products and I would recommend them.

Jewellery project fail, goodies and products finished today

I had a jewellery project fail!  There are so many cute cute things in at Lovisa and Colette at the moment, I had to indulge - though I did make sure that I did not already have pieces similar to this already:
Here is my haul - a cute bug ring (have been looking for a cute bug ring for ages!) from Colette.

Colette - turquoise gold drop earrings, coral drop earrings.

Lovista - heart diamonte clips.  This haul was about $30

I have actually moved interstate to a place that doesnt have a Colette - though I am pretty confident that they will get one soon, considering how quick she is expanding her shops.  Colette does have online shopping, but its a limited range.

I finally got my Clarins Flash Balm!!  I had needed on for about a year, and I had tried various products in an effort to replace this with a budget version.  There is no budget version, Flash Balm cannot be replaced :-).  David Jones was having a Clarins bonus sale, so I finally bit the bullet and picked up the Flash Balm and the Lotus Oil which is another HG for me and got my bonus pack full of so many goodies, including a mini flash balm :-).

Products Finished Today Project - Revlon Age Defying Makeup Foundation.  This was a foundation that I used quite often, but that was when I lived in a hotter climate so had a slightly darker complexion.  After moving to a winter climate, this was way to dark for me so has stayed on the shelf for awhile.  To use the rest of this up, I mixed a light illuminator into it which worked perfectly.  I did like this foundation, but I would probably not return to it as there are so many new foundations on the market to try.

New shoes and Jewellery project

Target have a new range of shoes, but they have also upped their prices!!  For me Target full price flats should be about the $16 range and you can usually guarantee that there will be some kind of sale where you can probably pick them up for $10.  I rushed in to Target the other day looking for a pair of pink ballet slippers after I hurt my back and had to give up heels, and I found the perfect pair except they were $20.  Of course this can still be considered a bargain, but not for Target (sad face).  I bought them despite still being annoyed for paying that much at Target, they are so cute and already I have got heaps of wear out of them!
Pink with gold studs and black bow tie.  These seem like good quality, Target actually have quite a few nice flats in at the moment.

New Weekly Star Style magazine.  I dont actually buy NW,  it hasnt been my kind of magazine for a few years, however when I spotted this in the supermarket I decided to buy it.  It was $5.00 and basically is bit like Shop Til Ya Drop but without any real articles in it.  It does feature heaps of bargain and budget buys and an ASOS 15% off code!

Jewellery Project continues!  I love turquoise and have a quite a few pieces in this colour.  these are two turquoise bracelets - one from Lovisa and the other one was a gift.  Necklace from ASOS, this was a bargain - only about $5 (I posted about this previously when I purchased).
