Taming the shrew round one

Priceline had 30% off John Frieda products. So I took the opportunity to restock my arsenal needed to tame the shrew that is my hair. Got a new paddle brush, heat protector, conditioner mask, serum for my ends and blonde hairspray. Wish me luck. 

Make me up

Although in 5 weeks time I will be able to hit Sephora in NY and buy heaps if makeup a lot cheaper, I have needed some finishing powder and spray for ages and was getting impatient. My MAC prep and prime finishing powder was awesome but ran out a few months ago, and I'm definitely not buying MAC until our trip. So I found alternate cheaper products by Australis, I bought a cheek tint from Australis years ago and it's still going strong and my fav! And they have cool 'how to' videos on their website. Priceline had a deal where I also got a lip care trio for free which I needed as well so allthree fir $20 so yay. 

Chilling out

Reading material for the chill out weekend: Cleo magazine and Jessica Alba's book 'the honest life'. The book is from the library, but I splurged and bought the latest Cleo! Love my owl jumper from Big W, such a bargain for $19, it's a cute way to cheer up a frosty day. I was a bit brownish next to my little feet daughter who was head to toe in pink lol.

New shoes!

My Novo shoes that I have had for only 6mths and barely wore fell apart, like FELL apart - both pairs... Grr. And I was at work so double grr. I have been in the market for a nice pair of black work shoes for awhile so was lucky to find a pair today at Wittner - original price $150 reduced to $70. Hopefully they will last alot longer than 6 dodgy months! I don't think they class as breaking the shopping ban as They were an essential item boot a want!  Wore a yellow Ally dress with a polka dot collar, haven't seen anything cute at Ally all year - been good for the shopping ban ;-). 

Warm head

Popped into Sportsgirl and broke my spending ban, but the hit wasn't to bad - only $28 for two beanies and a pair of tights - lots of Winter bargains at the moment, so sad I'm on a shopping ban. Today I wore one of my work skirts that I had uncovered in my declutter weekend, after wearing it today I have put in the donation bag - it is old and I don't love it so it needs to go! Then I got changed into casual clothes ..love love my Zara jeggings, they are so comfy! 

Blinded by the colour

Had one of those days when I had to wear extremely colorful bright clothes. Luckily I have a few options in my wardrobe ;-). My Asos turquoise tropical dress with my blue Zara blazer and a pink cotton on cardigan. Very bright lol. It did brighten my day so mission accomplished. 

Summer lovin

I'm waiting for summer so I can wear this playsuit! Well maybe..I'm still not sure if I could pull it off but I love the concept of summer and being able to wear it. It is a fine balance with play suits, especially long pants ones!  I'm thinking about getting a hair curler, I'm so tired if my boring boring hair. I will wait until I am in the US to get one but there are so many to choose from! Eek!
